My social science teacher’s name is Mrs Gurjeet Kaur. She teaches us History, Geography and Civics. The best thing about her is that she teaches History like Art; Geography like English and Civics like games. Sometimes I think that she is like my class teacher of Class IV, Mrs S. Dhaliwal. Mrs Gurjeet’s voice is like Mrs Dhaliwal’s. Her handwriting is also like hers. Her way of teaching is like hers. She even teaches English - not to us but to some other classes. She is strict, but to me she is polite. This is perhaps because for good students, even the strictest teacher becomes polite; but for bad children, even the most polite teacher is strict. Actually she was on leave on my first day of senior secondary school in VI standard. I asked Jasleen, my senior busmate about all the teachers who were going to teach us. I asked her who all were strict. When I told her that Mrs. Gurjeet would teach us social science, she yelled in surprise and shouted, “Mrs. Gurjeet?” I said yes, “Then what? What is the matter? Is she very strict?” She said, “Yes she is strict, but is one of the best. Her teaching, her voice, her love for good students all is worth appreciation." I felt proud that she is teaching us, I am proud to have her as my teacher.

Eating With Chopsticks
Chop! Chop! Chop! Eating with chopsticks is fun, isn't it? But I was thinking, if there were no noodles, what fun would be chopsticks? Chopsticks, I think, are associated with Chinese and Japanese. I was tempted to eat noodles with chopsticks when I went to Yo!China! restaurant. They first said we don't have them. I said to Mama, "What kind of Chinese restaurant is this, if they don't have chopsticks?" I think they heard me, they said, ok we will give you a set. I brought it home and now I eat Maggi with the chopsticks.

My First Monochrome in Paint
Monochrome means 'one colour'. This is my still-life painting assignment. In monochrome, we have to use one colour and we can make or use different shades of the same colour which we choose. I had no idea I could make a good mono with poster colours also. Because I had used a red crayon once to make my first monochrome. I was amazed that Mama loved it, Harman, Avi Didi, Jasleen, Avneet, Komal Didi, Ekjot, Ashu, Guru- all liked it.

Visit to the Village
We were on to the village where my Papa's friend's parents lived. We went to the field by walking on the banna (the edge of small water canal used to supply water), clicked some photos. My Papa's friend's parents were making a new house. We saw the grazing grounds and the buffaloes. On the way back I thought my Papa's other friend R's face just looked like Zen's first model.

It was a beautiful sunny and windy day today. I flew kites and Mama-Papa helped me. I like to fly the kite high and then tie the dor to a pole. Then I stand by and watch it flying. Mama always tells me to hold the dor in hand and feel the tension. I am always thinking someone else should not cut my dor.
Mama came to tie more dor so my kite can fly even higher. Just when I untied the knot from pole, Jai came and began to fight with me. So the dor went off my hands and the kite flew away.
